One platform for trade concerns
KSJF gives members a coordinated channel to raise issues affecting jewellers, bullion traders, artisans and associations across Karnataka.
Profile & Leadership
Karnataka State Jewellers Federation (R), Bangalore brings jewellers, bullion traders, manufacturers, wholesalers, artisans and association leaders onto one platform for representation, communication and responsible trade development.
Who We Are
The Karnataka State Jewellers Federation (KJSF) is a state-level apex body formed to represent and safeguard the interests of jewellers across all 31 districts of Karnataka, while working towards the welfare and growth of the entire jewellery fraternity. Karnataka is one of the largest jewellery markets in South India, with more than 10,000 jewellery retailers and wholesalers spread across the state. While district-level jewellers’ associations have traditionally addressed local issues, the need was strongly felt for a unified state federation that could collectively represent the industry with greater strength, coordination, and influence. KJSF works in association with jewellers’ bodies from 177 talukas across Karnataka, ensuring that industry initiatives, welfare measures, and support systems reach the grassroots level and strengthen the entire trade network statewide. The Federation actively addresses key industry concerns including protection from unlawful harassment, issues related to taxation and regulatory authorities, trade welfare, security concerns, policy advocacy, and the overall development of the jewellery sector in Karnataka. KJSF has its own office space located in Seshadripuram, Bengaluru, and is governed by a State-level Board of Directors and Executive Committee members elected every three years. The Karnataka State Jewellers Federation is also a Founder Member of the National Gems & Jewellery Council of India (NGJCI), a body formed under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, to represent and strengthen the domestic gems and jewellery industry
The federation's focus is practical: bring district-level concerns to a common platform, support members with timely information, encourage transparent business practices and strengthen consumer confidence in Karnataka's jewellery sector.

Committee
The committee provides leadership for member coordination, district communication, event planning, compliance awareness and trade representation across Karnataka.
Mr. Srikanth Kari, newly re-elected Chairman of the Karnataka State Jewellers Federation (KSJF), said: “With 31 districts and 177 talukas in Karnataka, district-level associations alone were not sufficient to address the growing challenges faced by jewellers. The presidents of these associations have therefore come together under one umbrella body — KSJF — to collectively safeguard the interests of the jewellery fraternity and address critical issues such as harassment from unlawful authorities, anti-social elements, and various government and tax departments, while also working towards the overall growth and development of the industry.” Speaking on the need for such a federation, Mr. Kari said: “Ten to fifteen years ago, competition was limited, business conditions were stable, and the trade functioned smoothly. Today, however, the environment has changed significantly. New regulations are introduced frequently, customer expectations have evolved, and the industry is witnessing intense competition. Traditional jewellers, many of whom have carried forward this business for generations, are finding it increasingly difficult to adapt to these rapidly changing dynamics. This is a matter of serious concern.” To address these challenges and support jewellers in overcoming the issues faced by the trade, KSJF was formed with memberships open to both individual jewellers and corporate jewellers. “We are proud to state that KSJF today has more than 300 life members,” he added. Planned Activities KSJF has proposed to conduct board meetings in different districts once every three months. These meetings will provide an opportunity to understand local issues and resolve them through the collective wisdom and experience of jewellers from across the state. In addition, KSJF is planning to organise an annual conference in every district of the state .
